Virginia R. Cooper, 80, Robinson, Illinois and formerly of Newton and Effingham, Illinois went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at the Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home, Robinson, Illinois.
Born on July 27, 1932, in Crawford County, Illinois she was the daughter of Byrl Pat Inboden and Dora (Waggoner) Inboden. She was married to Coy H. Cooper who preceded her in death in 1990. Virginia was an LPN from 1972 – 1992 working in hospitals in Robinson and Olney, Illinois and later in nursing homes in Robinson, Newton and Oblong, Illinois. For the last several years Virginia was a member of the Crossroads Free Will Baptist Church in Effingham, Illinois. She was a former member of Bible Chapel Church, Robinson, Illinois EUB Church and Wesleyan Churches in Oblong, Illinois and the Lawrenceville Wesleyan Church. Virginia was a member of the Robinson High School Class of 1950 and being involved in the churches that she attended. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and reading.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael & Cindy Copper and Patrick & Kelly Cooper; four grandchildren, Brent Cooper, Lance & Krystal Cooper, Kaylynn Cooper and Grant Cooper; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte & Sophia Cooper; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian & Norman Tracy and Martha & Don Sisil; three brothers and sisters-in-law, George & Mable Inboden, Ira & Phyllis Inboden, LaVern Inboden, Beulah Inboden, Karon Inboden and Nancy Goble; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Wilber Lee, Max Lloyd, Fred and Byrl Inboden; a sister, Marilyn Sue Inboden Dix; a grandson, Stephen Paul Cooper; two nephews and two nieces.
Bro. Jeff Monroney will officiate the service. It was Virginia’s wish to be cremated and her cremains buried in Hardinville Cemetery, Hardinville, Illinois.
